Aloha
Hi, everyone! My name is Jake, and I’m thrilled to have you here. Originally from the beautiful islands of Hawaii, I’ve spent the past few years living and teaching in Japan, where I’ve been fortunate enough to work with students of all ages. Teaching has given me countless opportunities to share knowledge, connect with amazing people, and find joy in the everyday moments of learning and growth.

I’m a huge fan of sports, watching anime and eating ramen. I’m also passionate about plants, from nurturing them at home to appreciating their beauty in nature. And when it’s time to relax, I enjoy getting lost in a good horror game or laughing at life’s unexpected twists and turns. My curiosity drives me to examine the unexamined—whether that’s uncovering a hidden detail in a game, exploring the stories from history or science, or simply finding inspiration in the little things.

This blog is my way of sharing pieces of my journey, from reflections on teaching and life in Japan to stories about my hobbies and passions. I hope it’ll be a place where we can connect, share ideas, and learn from one another.
Thanks for stopping by! I’m excited to have you here.
Mahalo,
Jake
